Introduction

'Lesbians' and 'Gays' both concepts are part of a more general term “Homosexuality”. Homosexuality is a concept which advocates the physical, mental and emotional attraction towards the same gender. A "homosexual" is a person who has these sexual feelings. Sometimes these sexual feelings are translated into overt sexual behavior. Defining homosexuality is not difficult; explaining why it occurs has proven to be much more so. Here in this essay when we use the word “homosexuality” we mean by both 'Gay' and 'Lesbians' (RMarotte, 2011).
