This paper is aimed to propose a leisure and recreational program, which is based on the program development cycle presented by J.R. Rossman and E. Schlatter. The leisure and recreational program, which has been selected for this assignment, is based on the Zumba Fitness. Zumba is a fitness program that incorporates a vast variety of dance and aerobics for the promotion of fitness.
Stage A
Introduction
The organizational culture and philosophy, which drives this program, revolve around the providence of satisfactory results to all consumers by keeping shareholders satisfied with their returns. The corporate culture is based upon empathic relationships with consumers to keep them motivated for this program (Rossman & Schlatter, 2008).
Mission
We aim to develop the systemized recreational programming network for consumers to opt even in their busy schedules to promote fitness in society.
Goals
The medium range goal is to expand this program to other states with similar quality of service for consumers.
The short range goal is to attain practical attention of consumers and shareholders on the significance of this program and its development, in terms of consumption and investment.
Stage B
Introduction
It is significantly important to address the culture and needs of society to infuse a successful program. The cultural norms of a society and needs of its members must be well addressed in the program offerings, which enhance the effectiveness and success of the program (Rossman & Schlatter, 2008).
Participant Input
It is important to conduct an appropriate analysis of individuals' schedules and lifestyles. This can be acquired by the evaluation of working hours or academic hours of individuals. The existing needs of leisure programs are largely comprised of fitness, and the target population will include adolescent females, housewives, working women, and working middle aged men (Rossman & Schlatter, 2008).
Leisure Program Goals
The basic program goal is to provide individuals' with a time effective fitness program, which is based on entertainment. It aims to provide physical fitness to the members of society, along with relief from stress (Rossman & Schlatter, 2008).
Program Design
The program is divided into different sessions of Zumba Fitness in accordance with the age groups of consumers or participants.
