Introduction

With the change in society, a change is observed in the needs and the wants of the people living in the society. These changes have led to demands and desires which are usually perceived as unethical and are more likely to be illegal. The term social smokers was not a very familiar one, as in retro social drinker was the only familiar term. When a thought is given to the ethical issues attached to the legalization of marijuana, many theories can be consulted to determine the course of action. Marijuana is said to be the thirst most famous recreational drug in the world behind alcohol and tobacco. According to many surveys it can be concluded that major count if the population smoke marijuana regularly, despite the laws established to limit its supply. Having its major contribution to the pharmaceutical industry, laws and regulations are not the only factor to be considered while discussing the legalization, but ethical concerns are also considered.

There are many ethical issues that surround the legalization of marijuana, for example the fact that marijuana is an illegal and banned drug. It could be argued that even if marijuana is legalized people will not forget that it was an illegal drug in the past. Many people consider its use as a victimless crime and many refer to it as a gateway drug. This term basically characterizes all the activities that some people find ethically and morally objectionable.
