Introduction

Huemer thinks that drugs should be legalized; however, I have a contradictory notion against the approach of Huemer and do not agree with him because the legalization of drugs continues to raise debate and shows no signs of being settled.

Explanation/Argument

The paper highlights that the experts and the general public are worried about the increased availability and low prices resulting in an increased number of drug users and eventually their early deaths. The more people experiment with drugs, the more people are likely to become addicted and increase sociological problems. Teenagers often begin using drugs for many reasons. Sometimes it's a recreational or social habit that teenagers do only when they are around other teenagers. As they grow older and enter into the practical lives there are various problems that these young people may face; such as the employment issues. Many times drug use is a symptom of a larger problem. Students suffer with their educational lives. Increase the level of crimes with related to drug usages. However, the aim of this paper is to discuss that drugs should not be legalized.

Argument

Substance abuse also referred to as drug abuse, can be described as harmful consumption of psychoactive substances that include alcohol and other illicit drugs. People abuse different substances, such as drugs, alcohol and tobacco, for different complex reasons. The constant abuse of such harmful substances badly damages psychological and physical condition and, in case of an overdose, may also lead to death. A legalization of drugs not only harms drug abuser but also contributes to a number of sociological problems (Russell, 2011).
