Learning is a complex process; there are different points of view, as many as definitions. It can be defined as a process by which a new behavior is acquired, amending an old behavior or any behavior is extinguished as a result of experiences or practices. Learning is the adaptation of living beings to survive environmental changes. Maturing is necessary to learn and adapt to the environment more appropriately. Through the completion, of this work is intended to provide a little more about learning theories, particularly Garnders Multiple Intelligences Theory. Various learning theories help us understand, predict and control human behavior, develop strategies to turn learning and trying to explain how subjects access to knowledge. Its object of study focuses on the acquisition of skills and abilities in reasoning and the acquisition of concepts (Howard, 2004).
Learning is a process by which we acquire new knowledge which affects various aspects: individual cognitive strategies, learning styles, individual and collective experiences phenomena of the surrounding environment, information and stimuli from the external reality models, formalisms, theories and dynamics of educational agencies media and processes that govern the exchange of information. Learning is a dynamic structure, which follows paths are not linear and inconsequential can be studied effectively with a multidisciplinary approach: in science Cognitive different partial models have been developed.
Discussion
Howard Gardner, American psychologist, born in 1943, is considered the leading exponent of the theory of multiple intelligences. He entered Harvard University in 1961, receiving his doctorate, later specializing in developmental psychology and neurophysiology. In 1986 he began teaching at the Faculty of Science at Harvard, while working at Project Zero, a research group on knowledge formation, which attaches great importance to the arts. Over the years, Gardner, as well as to develop the theory of multiple intelligences, has been involved in the development of artistic abilities in children and design of tools to enhance learning and creativity through forms of teaching and assessment more personalized. Gardner has received many awards, including several honorary doctorates, including the University of Tel Aviv (Howard, 2006). In 1990, for his research, he was awarded the prestigious Grawemayer University of Louisville.
The starting point of Gardner's concept is the belief that the classical theory of ' intelligence, based on the assumption that there is a single factor, measured by IQ, is wrong. After making inquiries of the intelligence of children and adults affected by a stroke, he came to the conclusion that humans are not equipped with a certain degree of general intelligence, which is expressed in some forms than in others, but rather that there is a variable number of relatively separate of each other faculties. According to the model proposed by Howard Gardner all human beings are capable of the extensive development of their intelligence, supported in their abilities and motivation.
