Introduction

This paper intends to explore the article named “Is 'Lean' a universal production system?“. This article is based on Lean Thinking. The primary focus of this paper is to examine the conclusion made by the Richard Cooney, which states that the most distinctive element about lean production concept is the importance it places on the establishment of just in time flow (Cooney, 2002, p.1147). This paper shall provide a deep insight to the significance of just in time flow in the process of lean production.
