It is imperative for the society and organization, both to integrate in process and product engineering that is contributing in establishment of lean design, founding rules and principles and manufacturing industrial unit design and assembly system in our management and engineering. This project will propose of a design that comprises of service methods for green engineering and solutions that a company can adopt for quality-focused green aspiration.

Shareholders, consumers and regulators are screaming for sustainability. Greener options are dynamically being accepted by consumers in today's world after they are subjected to the environments awareness and strive to provide a greener world. New legislations are being passed by regulators for immediate acceptance of environmental friendly products and services for environmental reporting, transparency and compliance. Investors and Shareholders are taking keen interest in investing on projects that entails holistic approach which takes social performance as top consideration. We should know that presenting an environmental friendly approach would be a concurrent way that will provide reimbursements in multiple ways, it has produced significant results for companies in past and we could noticeably point out increased sales, reduced risk and lower expenses (Ferng, 2005).

However, we will focus on how Lean Six Sigma is expected to help in getting rid of excessive wastages such as man power, energy, time, materials and resources and how can this lead to greater sustainability. If companies start implementing these six steps frequently to gain effective sustainability, it will help them move down to the road that will encourage them to boost environmental and economic performance for going green.

Applying Lean Six Sigma

The approach of Lean six sigma for energy management, as defined below, can be applied to operational improvement projects and traditional quality that entails improvements in quality, inventory reduction or production efficiency. The question is how can Lean Six Sigma project contribute towards diminishing the energy consumption and promote green projects?

This can only be possible if we arrange and value holistic changes in social and business environment collectively and find those changes being implemented sequentially in potential projects. Here we are proposing an idea of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of lighting systems in corporate institutions. In replacing radiant and incandescent lighting bulbs with those of fluorescent ones will provide long-term benefits regarding minimizing greenhouse gas effects, building a public image in terms of respecting and promoting green house protection projects, lowering the expenses incurred and gaining customer satisfaction (Thomas & Rowlands et.al, 2008).
