Introduction
Organizational change is a global trend. Each business, regardless of its origin and capabilities has to undergo change in some way or the other. For a number of organizations, the change is an inspiration for new challenges to overcome and new opportunities towards creativity. When the organization is going through change, the true talent of the workforce is exposed and improved. The trend of change in organizational culture and structure is escalating at a very face pace and frequency, along with a number of complexity and commotion. (East, 2011).
Managing change needs time as it difficult and complex. It involves an effective and efficient utilization of different skills that involve leadership as well as people skills. It consists on implementation of strategic processes and initiatives often in a systematic way, concurrently. There are seven key elements that are necessary and essential in order to create a successful change (Kotler, 1994) that are further analyzed and are divided into eleven parts, for the better implementation of change management (Foster, 2013). Strategic change management states to a structural path in the change of teams, individuals and organizations from a present state to a state in which the vision is created. Most of the definitions of Change Management include the change processes or individual as well as organizational. (Brandtzeg. S. R, 2009)
The change management experience that was implemented after the great loss of International Business Machines - IBM will be discussed. Many Organizations do try to implement change in their structure but eventually fail as they overlook or certain fundamentals elements which they lack that are related to their stockholders, users and leaders, which eventually takes them to a disastrous failure. Finally, an overview will be discussed to implement change on a continuous and ongoing basis rather than by reacting to the situation.
