Osinga (2007) stated that theories provide organization to intelligent thought by defining terms, connecting logical thought, and offering speculation about the interaction of concepts and ideas. Does this speak to the point about managers needing a high level of intelligence to develop and apply principles for making correct organizational decisions? If so how? If not, why not?
Weightage of Theory
Theory has been patented and proved worthy of the purpose of giving some proof, evidence or evidentiary support to accept or reject a problem or opportunity in order to understand the kind of events or situations that individuals may face in the organization (Barnard, 2006). Although it has been proven that theory does tend to give out a relevant stance upon the development and understanding of the kind of events that occur today, theories have always had some form of criticism and censure, which tends to give out a more in-depth analysis and more alternatives to skim through and yield a more concrete result (Caligiuri, 2008).
