Litreature Review

The study by Turner and Muller (2005) indictes that leadership cannot be taught as it is a long process because it is a way that does not allow turning. The reason of this statement is that either you are a leader and act in all circumstances or you are directed by others to act. It is a matter of life values and strength of your decision to honor these values. The terms leader and leadership are currently overused in, as it did in the past with the concept coaching. Leadership is an ability to lead other people by force of his personality. It means that people are going for you because they want to, not because they have to, even when you need personally never met a well subscribes to your system of values, heritage and ideas it promotes. In addition to this, leaders are not born as one becomes a leader on the basis of their decision. The basis of such is that if a person has free will to decide whether he should go for it or not then he can discover how he is doing in this regard which will give confidence, experience and learning with respect to making decision that will help the person in learning leadership.

Overuse of the words Leader and Leadership

The managers are nowadays commonly referred to as a leader, although the level of leadership is high as compared to managers and their influence is based on the position that he plays in the company hierarchy. If they took the beautiful cards and let them lead the team based on their actual leadership, we would be surprised.

With respect to leadership can be taught, I would mention a few basic things; one of them is that I have in my neighborhood a few people about whom I can say that they demonstrate their leadership on the national and international level. I chose them for their designs. Associate with them, attend their lectures, read their books, listen to audio recordings of seminars, but I do not want to sound like bragging. Before I met any of them personally, and many years have passed since the moment became my role model; I was inspired in their public appearances. Besides it, another example is that few years back, I had the opportunity to meet with a person who significantly influenced my outlook to view the world. For years we have met, but it seemed unattainable to get closer to him, up to the point where I was a few years ago decided that I will do whatever it takes for me to work with him personally. I had to start doing other things; I had to change a lot and grow step by step to get to his point of view. And last summer came the long-awaited phone call.
