Flat Hierarchy Issue

The word management and leadership normally consider the same with each other, because this is not actually the right or correct concept. Basically these are the two different concepts. Leadership can be an asset to management but unfortunately not all managers have leadership abilities (Ricketts 2009). Leadership is about being able to visualize a better authenticity and communicating that vision to others in the way that encourages them to achieve that vision. Whereas Management is refers to the supervising, giving orders and directing the employees regarding the work or goals and tasks of the firms. For achieving the visions of the leadership, management helps to achieve the leadership vision and goals. The perceptions of groups by practicing in cooperation approaches are different. If managers think in the means of growth then the thinking of leaders is fundamental. At one hand managers only follow the policy and what is written on the book, on the other hand proceedings of leader is focused on their own intuitions and instincts.

There are multiple theories regarding leadership. One of the most accepted theory is Trait theory. All the leadership theories are widely used globally not only at the theoretical but also for the implementation of the practical. Taking an example of Trait theory as his theory proposed that people are born with some inherit abilities, attribute, and skills which required the recognition so that the use can be possible. For making the good leaders these attributes which Trait theory proposed such as creativity, intelligence and more concerned that is sense of responsibilities. One most important concept of the theory of trait that is leaders may have related or similar types of personalities that related to mental, social, personality level, physical, which helps to distinguish them from normal people (House & Aditya 1997). Not only this, but on the other hand the traits theory also motivated the individuals for seeking them into the achievement with the help of adopting the techniques for advancements.

The opposite experiences are found in the case study of Flight Centre of UK. As their services increase and going towards the positive and remarkable achievement. The reason behind that is not that the all employee are at the same stage and working without focusing the hierarchy of management and not controlled by the leadership. All employees are considered to be the same stage and level even though their uniform is also same. This is not wrong to say that there is no concept of the leadership and focuses that all the employees are same and capable to do their work as considering themselves that they are running their own business and they will be responsible for the consequences. Here we need to determine that not all the individuals are capable for doing all work and simple work that unable to work as leader.
