Introduction

This research paper aims to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of my personal style of leadership through assessing the interviews and comparing the data so collected. Leadership is the key component in the functioning and development of any team. An effective leader not only inspires his team members to do their best, but also leads his team to new dimensions, fostering their personal and professional growth. In this paper, we will assess the most significant factor of leadership style that can contribute towards the maximum level of effectiveness and productivity under the auspices of an “effective” leader. We will look into the components of Transformational leadership, namely inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized attention; in order to suggest the actions for change to enhance the effectiveness of my personal leadership.

I expect that the course of this paper will develop my understanding as a leader, since a supportive leadership style is a key component for increasing the effectiveness and success of the leader. It is hoped that I will gain specific understanding about the leadership styles, and this will help me in improving my leadership behaviors. Transformational leadership and seeks to promote a sense of belonging, by resorting to the ideas and moral values ??such as freedom, justice and equality, peace and humanity. The behavior of transformational leadership starts from the personal values ??and beliefs of the leader and not to share interests with subordinates.

This paper will be focusing on the components of transformational leadership while our hypothesis says “Individualized Attention, as a component of transformational leadership needs to be improved in order to increase my effectiveness as a leader”.

Discussion

I am currently working as a marketing director for a toy company. My prior work experience is associated with thirteen long years of marketing experience along with five years of management role. In each role that I had been assigned, I tried my best to work to the fullest of my potential in order to successfully achieve the desired outcomes. This research is based on evaluating my effectiveness as a leader, based on the responses of my colleagues at work. These colleagues include my subordinates, assistants as well as my reporting authorities. I will go about the study in a systematic manner, highlighting the design of the research implemented, then analyzing the responses of interviews and survey that I gathered, and finally I will reach definite conclusions based on my findings and learning. This assignment will help me in assessing my loopholes as a leader and will eventually suggest an action plan for my future role and its reinforcement.

Research Design

The main part of this assignment is based on the analysis that was gathered from the findings of my surveys and interviews. The methodology that guided this research included interviewing six key personnel from my own organization including
