From the given case of Gore and Associates, it is found that Gore has been much successful due to its strategies and, turned large profits just after its creation which is not the case of several known organizations and firms such as; Youtube.

Gore has created a lattice organization in which there are several features to be notices such as;

Organization allow direct communication individual to individual without any intermediary,

There is no fixed and assigned authority,

Sponsors are there but no bosses,

Presence of natural leadership, commitments are important to achieve tasks and objectives,

Not following the hierarchical command and control structure

There are different discussions about leadership theories in this case such as; behavioral and vertical dyadic linkage (VDL) (Simmons, 1987). The trait leadership tends to explain about the different aspects of the effectiveness of leadership. There are physical and psychological traits which may include high energy level, self reliance and aggressiveness. The behavioral leadership tends to explain different styles adopted by leaders in order to determine the nature of work.

The vertical dyadic linkage (VDL) theory is explaining that how leaders are examining the individual to individual relationships with followers (Simmons, 1987). This theory is reflected in W.L. Gore and Associates case as they give their sponsor program by assigning a sponsor to each associate. This allows every associate to have relationship with 2 to 3 leaders through one to one relationship because; each associate may have a sponsor, an advocate sponsor and a compensation sponsor. Every associate has the own perceptions and may achieve the voluntary turnover through 5% for over ten years.
