Latin legal language of law
Latin is the common authorized language (lingua franca) that has been used for over the centuries over the boundaries of local law. This started during the Roman conquests when it influenced the development of other languages. Since the legal languages depend on the legal system and cultures to which they belong, there were often problem which arose when lawyers of different countries were caught up by language barriers. Latin was seen as an ideal language used as a 'trans-linguistic' instrument to avoid the linguistic unfairness and constant problems with legal translations to communicate. Mutual understanding was put up in order to achieve the goals, irrespective of the linguistic and cultural differences of the communicators providing it with a common ground. This can be traced back to 450-451 BC, which formed the basis of the basis of the subsequent development of Roman law when the 12 tables were formed. In the legal literature and legal discourse the use of Latin terms and phrases increased over recent years, especially in Europe (Ristikvi, 2005).

The word Democracy derived from Greek word “demos” or “People”. The basic concept of democracy is that kind of government where the supreme power vested in people. Sometimes the democracy is also directly practised by people. In greater societies candidates have been selected through elections by the nation or people.
