Introduction

I believe that law enforcement agencies should publish this information since it would alert the drunk drivers not to drive on the road or take a cab and go to the desired destination. The motive behind the DUI checkpoints is to avoid drunk and rash driving to eliminate accidents and such circumstances. These DUI point are not devised to catch the drunk drivers or charge them a penalty and rather, the system is incorporated to ensure safe driving. The information regarding DUI points would serve as a precautionary measure and alert the drivers for the same.

Although the restrictions on the use of mobile phones when driving is another example of the dangers that involve our driving distractions, new technologies have allowed the concepts of mobile car to assist while driving. Much of the blame lies with the application download platforms such as Android Market or the iPhone App Store, which have open season for developers to create programs that will help facilitate driving. Developments in this area will allow the drivers to improve our driving, save fuel, reduced accidents and alert the drivers on tough turns or even save more than a pinch when conditions warrants (McCarthy, 2005).

Discussion

Since the laws of red light camera has been put into practice in the year 2010, rear end incidents have increased to double in Florida and other states of United States. The prime objective was to prevent road accidents of automobiles while the drivers ran red lights. Several comprehensive studies have been conducted on the issue that whether the drivers should be informed regarding the locations of red light camera and speed traps. The study shows those drivers are in panic when they come to an intersection with camera and they are more prone to jump on the brake devoid of looking at the rear. The Florida state carried out a research regarding the camera location and speed traps 42% of respondents answered in favor of informing drivers regarding the locations of red light camera and speed trap however, remaining 58% were not in favor.

When drivers see an intersection coming up that has cameras, drivers do not react with their habitual driving scheme, but it is their anxiety that turns on and people are no longer thinking about other drivers and other solutions, but they're simply just trying to avoid getting that ticket and they do the most outrageous things like stopping early, gliding into the intersection, and even running the light all together. When drivers abruptly stop, they either increase the possibility for getting rear ended or they end up swerving into the lane next lane so they don't cross the white line that the cameras are ready for (McCarthy, 2005).
