The legal system pertaining to United Kingdom is applied in Wales as well. The Legal system is shaped by the efficient functioning of various law enforcement agencies. We would consider the roles played by different law enforcement agencies in curbing crime and promoting a crime free society. There is a huge contribution of law enforcement agencies in the prosecution and trial of guilty individuals (Davies, Croall & Tyrer, 2009).
We would not only look at the roles played by the law enforcement agencies but will also compare the functioning of police and prosecutors. Although they have some disparities but there are also some similarities in their nature of work. They are mainly responsible for advising police on the nature of charges to bring against the alleged person, the responsibilities for authorization and mainly the preparation and presentation of cases pertaining to court both in the case of Magistrates court as well as the Crown court (Eurojustice, 2013).
