ABSTRACT

Immigration is one of the crucial concerns faced by the United States since its inception. There are several reasons due to which immigration in the United States is witnessed. The thousands of immigrants come to the United States for employment, studies and in search of better life. Nonetheless, the enhancement in immigration has caused several issues to be faced by the country. On the other hand, it is believed that immigration in the United States has been a prime contributing factor in country's economy. However, there is an ongoing debate witnessed regarding the contribution by the immigrant whether it is positive or negative. Different source assert that the enhancement of immigration in the United States have caused several issues one of them is the decline in job availability. The sources declare that due to the consent on the minimal salary and wages by the immigrants, the workforce of the country is witnessing decline in job opportunities. However, other sources argue that the immigrants in the United States are one of the prime contributors to country's welfare. The availability of workforce in the country is enhanced; moreover, many of the immigrants are successful entrepreneurs and contribute to country's GDP. There are several laws imposed upon the immigrants entering into the country as illegal immigration is a growing concern faced by the United States. These laws are constructed to prohibit illegal and excessive immigration due to which country may suffer substantial damage. The purpose of this study is to enlighten and explore the influence of immigration on the jobs in the United States. Nonetheless, the paper also focuses on the laws constructed by the state of Arizona and Alabama in order to highlight their impact on the immigration trend in the country.
