Introduction

Kraft food is one of the leading beverage and food companies in the world. Various things are offered by the company like snack, cheese, chocolate, and various grocery products all over the world (Abrahams, 1999). The company is engaged in more than 170 companies all over the world.

The companies operate through three business segment which are classified on the geographical basis. The three geographical basis of the company are Kraft Foods Europe, Kraft Foods North America and Kraft Foods Developing Markets. The company manages the Kraft food developing country by location and the Kraft food America and Europe by product category (Abrahams, 2007). The operations of the company are relating to the North America segment are classified into these categories which are convenient meals, Snacks, beverages and grocery.

In the year 2011 the company recorded revenue of $54,365 million which was an increase of 10.5% over the year 2010. The operating profits of the company was $ 6,657 million in the year 2011, this was an increase of 17.5 over the last year (Clarke, 2003). The net profit of the company $3,527 million. This was a decline of 14.3% over the last year.

Kraft should include the following in its mission statement. This is because mission statement shows the company and its concerned parties as to what is the road map of the company. As to how the future plans of the company that is the mission of the company are to be achieved (Hammonds, 2007). These are the concerns which are to be included in the Kraft food Company mission statement. This will help the company to deliver at same time to deliver well.

Customers

Special emphasis should be given to the Customers. They are the one whom the company depends on. They bring the profits to the company both in the short run and the long run. Thus they should be made the part of the mission statement of the company with high importance.

Products and services

These are the things which the company is going to produce and deliver to its end customers. The company should make every effort to deliver the best quality goods and services (Kraft, 1982). This is because higher the quality of goods and lower the price of product will attract customer to the company. Therefore the company should make every effort to include this product in its mission statement, which in the case of the Kraft food was not there.
