Learning and Development

The term “Learning” is a process that is used to make association with the new knowledge and “development” means to focus on empowering and enhancing the inner competencies, skills and attributes that are acquired by learners. The development of an individual's personality is beneficial for both the success and welfare of his own and growth at the workplace.

Learning and development are used to understand others as both learning and development progress time by time through the human's life cycles that shows significantly importance. Through learning and development, it enables an individual to understand the different issues, motivations and hurdles that may be faced at any age group. Not only this, an individual can also spend his or her life by dealing with different types of personalities because learning and development enable children as well as adult and give them powerful and uniqre edge to understand the world around them.

Efforts from Special Educational Needs (SEN)

In Special Educational Needs SEN, the children are having the difficulties and disabilities towards the learning process and it becomes harder for them to learn than the ordinary children at the same age. These types of children require extra help and there are the following various needs of the children according to the SEN;

Behavioral and emotional difficulties

Learning difficulties and understanding the concepts

Sensory or physical difficulties

Difficulties with the language and speech

Difficulties in behaving with other people

According to the law, the children do not have difficulties because the language of English is a secondary language for those children but it is obvious that some of the children are having problem of learning and difficulties.

Schools, universities and institutions help out the children for overcoming the difficulties and barriers that are present into them but some of the children need some special help in the process of learning and the development.

For the foundation stage, the government role is vital and established the early learning goals for the children age from 3 to 5 years. There is also a goal set by the National Curriculum for the five years to sixteen years children in which they will learn at the each level of their education period. Due to which children make progress at different ways and different rates and ultimately these children learn best of their level (Isenberg and Quisenberry 2002, pp.04-12).
