Kafka's Metamorphosis

The Metamorphosis (German: Die Verwandlung) is a novel by Franz Kafka, first published in 1915. It is often cited as one of the seminal works of fiction of the 20th century and is widely studied in colleges and universities throughout the Western world, Elias Canetti called it "one of the few great and perfect work of poetic imagination written during this century. "The story begins with a traveling salesman, Gregor Samsa, awakens to find himself transformed into a monstrous insect. Gregor Samsa wakes up one morning to find himself inexplicably transformed from a human into a monstrous insect. Instead of lamenting his transformation, Gregor worries about how you will get to work as a traveling salesman, Gregor is the only financial provider for his parents and sister, Grete, and comfort depends on its ability to work. When the supervisor Greg comes home and demands to leave your room Gregor, Gregor manages to roll out of bed and open the door. His appearance horrifies his family and the supervisor, his supervisor and flees Gregor attempts to chase after him, but his family scares in her room again. Grete attempts to care for her brother to provide him with milk and stale and rotten food we now prefer. Gregory is also developing an insect fears, being actually frightened by whistles and vocals kicking. However, Gregor is still a devoted son, and has to hide under the bed every time someone enters your room in order to protect their way of insects. When alone, he entertains looking out the window and climbing the walls and ceiling.

Unable to count the income of Gregory, the family members are forced to take jobs and Grete care deteriorates. One day, when Gregor leaves his room, his father chasing him around the dinner table and pelts him with apples. One of the blocks are embedded in the back, causing an infection. Because of their infection and hunger, and Gregor is soon barely able to move at all. Later, his parents and tenants enjoy the use of Gregor's room as a dumping area of unwanted objects. Gregor becomes dirty, dusty and old pieces of rotten food. One day, Gregor hear Grete playing the violin to entertain guests. Greg is attracted to the music, and slowly enters the room in spite of himself, a fun fantasy to get to his beloved sister to join him in his room and play ...
