Introduction

The phenomenon of youth gangs is a reality immanent in contemporary society and at the same time is a difficult topic to be addressed given the particular developmental stage in which they are teenagers. It is just a cultural stereotype belief, quite widespread, that childhood and adolescence constitute an unrepeatable phase of life where there are no worries and anxieties, and there always flows in a serene and joyful. In fact, the condition of those who looks at life is not easy: the effort to grow is significant because the experience of failure is continuing, because doubt predominates on certainties, because a deep unease is always present but often not is explained.

The condition of discomfort is common to the entire generation that is open to life and the need for a special and significant support from family and society in general is the same for all subjects in education. Some, unfortunately, in addition to the normal difficulties of the evolutionary process of the absence of objective situations individual, family and community that make it much more likely the evolutionary route and make it easier than the discomfort from becoming the first and deviance, then mismatch (Brice-Baker, 1998).

Discussion

Young people look for themselves, by distancing themselves from adults, with a language all their own that only they have access or the language of the body that replaces that of the dress, no more designer clothes from head to foot to proclaim an identity, but tattoos and piercing, even secrets that speak for themselves and members of the same company, in private. This leads to the formation of a real subculture, alternative to that of adults.

However, for an adequate reflection on young people and their way of life can not be disregarded from the analysis of the places where children spend their free time, the places where young people meet and have the opportunity to interact with each other. Places that can be formal or informal. Among the formal places there is certainly a school that is the first in which a young person can meet his peers. Among the rather informal places, the most important is the way, the plaza, parking, wall, streets, courtyards, gardens; small fields and benches are the places of the street where the boys meet. The road is the place where young people looking for the aggregation, is where you create alternative cultures, styles and patterns of behavior, but it is also the site of discomfort, risk situations of marginalization and deviance even uncollectibility (Cohen, 1955).
