Abstract

In this research paper the increasing trend of juvenile crimes has been discussed and after analyzing this has proved that the educational discrimination and social discrimination increased juvenile criminal behaviours.

Introduction

The educational institutions are involved in creating discrimination among children which actuate them to commit crime (Arthur, 2005). Undoubtedly, juvenile delinquency is one of the most important social phenomena that our societies have risen, and is a serious issue for the international criminological problems since the last century.

Juvenile delinquency is a global phenomenon, as it extends from the farthest corners of the industrialized city to the suburbs of large cities, from rich or wealthy families to the poorest, it is a problem that occurs in all social strata and in every corner of our civilized societies.

The school is the main source of socialization and integration. Its contribution is more essential in public life that has a mission to foster a culture of learning, knowledge and understanding of rights and obligations of citizens. It is in schools that children learn to refute arguments, speeches sectarian and fundamentalist to deny racism, xenophobia and discrimination. The school is free, secular and compulsory (Miller, Vandome, McBrewster, 2010). The Nation guarantees equal access for children and adults to education, vocational training and culture. However, in recent years, schools are in crisis and to a lesser extent play the role of social mobility (Barak, Leighton, Flavin, 2010). In a context of education, urban segregation and social divide, inequalities are reproduced: social inequalities and negative representations related to the ethnic origin of some students are confused and crystallize in deprived areas of the country. In this paper I am going to discuss that the educational institutional discrimination and social discrimination increase the juvenile crimes.

Juvenile criminal behaviors are increased by the educational and social discriminations.

Discussion

Juvenile crime has increased alarmingly in recent times; becoming an issue of growing social concern generated by both the quantitative increase, for their progressive qualitative hazard (Garland, 1996). Juvenile crime is also a feature of societies that have reached a certain level of prosperity and, according to authoritative analysis, more common in Anglo-Saxon and Nordic countries, in the Euro-Mediterranean and the developing nations. That is, in less developed societies the incidence of juvenile crime throughout the criminal world is smaller than in the modern communities economically. In Latin American cities, juvenile delinquency is associated with obtaining criminal consumer of luxury goods and usually do not practice violence for violence sake, but as a means of getting your material goals (Kincheloe, Steinberg, 2007).

Juvenile crime and violence are on an upswing, with demographic experts predicting that juvenile arrests for violent crime will double by the year 2010. This increased violence compounded with what some are calling an antiquated juvenile justice system is certainly caused for concern.
