The justification report aims at understanding how the innovative online strategies can impact the purchasing behavior of TESCO's customers and how it can help the company in increasing customer loyalty and engagement. The report highlights the methods utilized for collection of data that was used to identify the problem statement of the report. Moreover, the report highlights the findings and analysis from surveys and questionnaires which were used as primary source of data collection and online journals, websites and past research as secondary source of qualitative data collection.

Introduction

It is true that the internet has changed the lives of the people and has made nations close to each other. It has become so easy to access any information regarding any product and services all over the world. These days, products are also advertised through internets which are more effective than the traditional marketing due to globalization. The traditional marketing is no doubt effective but the amounts which spend are quite high. However, internet marketing outcome is alike, but cost effective; moreover, it is convenient for people to look at the new product, their features and purchase online rather than going to the store. Hence, for companies to promote their product through this mode is very ideal.

Big companies are now moving towards internet marketing as use of marketing increased in this era. For this purpose, the company should introduce and utilize innovative plans and strategies which can attract more customers and also create a challenge for their competitors. In UK, almost one-third of the populace uses internet, and thus the online marketing techniques plays an essential role in the retail sales market. On the contrary other marketing methods draw only a small amount of customers, and are proving costlier than the online methods. This report will focus on analyzing how real-time videos, personalization and VoC (Voice of Customer) can increase customer loyalty and engagement.

Problem Statement

One problem that has been identified is that Tesco's online customers take some time in deciding to make their purchase on net, while becoming familiar with the design of the website and in some cases, with technical aspects of the website.

The problem statement for this report is to identify, “how the innovative loyalty strategies can increase customer engagement and loyalty.

Method Used

It is obvious that being an innately local and labor concentrated sector, Tesco realizes that selling has a huge impact on people and the jobs factors. It often hires students, aged and disabled people at lower wages, with characteristically soaring staff revenue, these employees proffer a higher level of allegiance and consequently symbolize sought-after workforce (Brenkert, 2007, 77-98).
