Introduction

Everyday life has some impact of law in them. Every act of life is either legal or illegal. Law affects almost all aspect of life. Laws are made so that different crimes can be a deal by them, and on the other hand, even society issues can be solved with the help of law (Jehle, 2006). Crimes such as robbery, murder, or even any threat to a society, all are solved with the help of different laws. Law is also made to regulate the activities which are commonly done such as driving, renting a house, getting a job, etc (May, 2007). These all are regulated with the help of laws which every society has to follow. For example, when a law gives a person a legal right to drive, it may also restrict that right with traffic laws, and make it a duty for her or him to know how to drive. The legal system of America functions well when its citizen corporate with the legal justice system, and understands their legal rights and responsibilities (Neubauer, 2010). Mostly the law is said to be common sense which is essential for all the citizens so that they understand the basic principles of the legal heritage.

The Case

The case is related to the Officer Smith who was on his routine night time patrol. He noticed a vehicle in front, which has a broken taillight which appeared to be covered with colored tape.
