Duties and responsibilities

Working with clients of every age on numerous dissimilar physical or mental health issues which include:

Learning disabilities;

Family and personal relationship issues;

Eating disorders;

Challenging behaviors;

Addictive behaviors;

Neurological disorders;

Adjustment to physical illness, and

Schizophrenia and depression.

Working with one client or group of clients at one time like disable persons or children.

Working in the affiliated social service organization or the healthcare facility itself.

Doing applied research, adding to the evidence based practices within the healthcare setting.

Supporting and counseling carers.

Evaluating and developing service provisions for the clients.

Monitoring and devising apposite treatment programs, which include advice, therapy, or counseling, in cooperation with colleagues.

Evaluating the behavior, needs, or abilities of the client by the use of numerous techniques, which include direct observation of behavior, psychometric tests, and interviews.

Dealing and providing service to the clients seeking consultation with a professional of mental and psychological issues. Providing monthly progress to his/her Reporting Authority.

Supervision of:

The department/ward of psychology, including clients and staff of the department

Essential qualifications

A doctoral degree (either a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) or a Ph.D.) from a recognized and reputed institution

Minimum 5 to 7 years of graduate study

Concluding (the studies) with dissertation based on actual research

Required level of security clearance

Verification by the City Police Department

Registered with the local accrediting body or the association of psychologist having license to practice
