Introduction

In 1992, Barber Benjamin R. predicted that in the near future there will be two possible political figures, which will not be democratic, McWorld and Jihad. First, Jihad is a retribalization of large swaths of humankind by bloodshed and war.

The second, McWorld, are companies like MTV, Macintosh, and McDonald's, pressing nations into one homogenous global network business. The McWorld figure seems to be the political future instead of the Jihad.
