It is the male only prison of the state and considered to be the only and first prison that is being situated in the particular county. The state prison is managed and regulated by the department of rehabilitation and corrections, California. The jail that is selected for the comparative analysis in the paper is the Central Jail Complex located in Orange County, California. The jail is regulated and managed by the Sheriff's Department of Orange County, California state. This paper discuses the comparative analysis of the California State Prison with the Central Jail Complex of Orange County.

The major differences between the selected jail and the selected prison

Since, the state prisons hold a large amount of space and land as compared to the jails in the areas; therefore, they provide more facilities and services to the people.
