A local bike store near my house wants to expend the business internationally (Sarkar et.al, 2013). The bike store wants to make an internet strategy in order to increase the production. E-commerce now represents a potential and significant tool to maintain a rapid, secured and reliable connection between any business/organization and its users. By means of internet, companies or small stores are able to hit their target market from the domestic to international market around the globe.

A bike store does not use e-commerce for business. It is necessary for this bike store to create a web page on which all the technical details regarding bikes available and also about the services provided by this store. Most of the companies use such business models which generate profit by means of sales. Information system model would be appropriate to follow for creating a website because it is easy to use and have an option to add multiple functions. The website of the company is connected to a server system of the store.

Many superstores attract large number of customers but with the varying trends, the buyers now prefer to buy the products online from their home without having to visit the facilities (Daniel et.al, 2013). The website of the company may use some marketing and advertisement techniques in order to get desired benefits. Sales and marketing can play an important role in revenue generation of the company or a local small store.

Marketing and advertisement may also be used for the purpose of advertisement. Marketing from websites and social media may also be used. This bike store offer customer support service, in order to solve the concerns of customers. The store also uses social networking websites and display promotional content on website. Companies such as eBay, Amazon etc. (links of eBay and Amazon provided in references) offer a wide variety of products for the potential buyers but the range of the items is limited and do not encompass the products required in normal day to day routines.

Internet may also be use as a medium of promotion of a bike store. Social networking sites like FaceBook, Orcut, Google plus, etc can play an important role in promotion of products.
