Drug testing system is a system involving testing of biological sample, taken from the human body. This sample can involve urine, Hair, blood, sweat or oral fluids. The specimen is tested for the presence or absence of a specific drug or its metabolites.

Usage

The test is most widely used for the sportsmen, in order to detect the presence of performance enhancing agents like steroids, drugs restricted by the law and vice versa.

Drug screening is a process of key importance in the workplaces. According to a research, the usage of drugs in the workplace costs the organizations 75 to 100 billion dollars annually. This loss includes the accidents, health care problems and around 6% of all accidents that occur on the job are due to these drugs. The drug substance users require higher medical aid by organizations and, therefore, cause loss to the organization.

It helps in keeping track of the human resources and reduces the false or fake turnovers, including the absenteeism, theft, tardiness and other issues that might be non beneficial to the organization.

Florida's drug testing agency is vast agency dealing with different aspects covering the welfare and rights of the human beings. The agency has taken a major step by shaping up a new plan regarding the randomized drug testing in the United States. This plan is the first plan of its kind in the states and, therefore, is still facing a lot of critics. This idea was approved by the legislative board on 9th of March, and since then, the welfare agency has targeted a number of employees.
