Ethics in the Helping Professions

Counseling is an ethical therapy. There are certain preconditions to such virtuous activity, and afresh, each of these preconditions should be held by the one-by-one, or they invalidate virtue. (Jeffrey A. Kottler, 2002. Pp. 15)

Included in the preconditions are free will and voluntary action, the capability for rational decision-making, the aim of accomplishing rational ends, and choice (or the power to enact either good or evil).
