Islamic Civilization accepted into Western Civilization

Introduction

Civilization can be defined as an advanced state if human society, it means growth, achievement, thinking, and movement in a manner that develops a well mannered society that shape overall country. Today we are living in a multipolar age of multiple civilizations, but in this paper we will focus on two important civilizations, Western Civilization and Islamic Civilization (Choudhury, 35). The paper will discuss how Islamic Civilization accepted into Western Civilization. The acceptance of Islamic civilization in Western Civilization has received a great deal of attention from various Western as well as Muslim scholars. The purpose of this paper is to let readers know about the importance of and differences in these two important civilizations.

The Islamic Culture/Religion is one of the oldest and misunderstood cultures in the western world.

Islam is an Old religion. Islam is a monotheistic religion that emerged in the early s VII (610 BC) in the Arabian Peninsula; it was the time when the Byzantine Empire and the Roman Empire was militarily exhausted by the attacks of the nomads of race yellow, the Slavs and Persians. Islam is one of the great monotheistic faiths that sprung from the harsh land of the Middle East. It is the world's second largest religion, accounting for one sixth of the human race or approximately one billion people (Ghazanfar, 7). Like Judaism and Christianity, the followers of Islam or Muslims, are taught to believe in a cosmos in which God rewards for good and punishes for evil and is merciful to compassionate appeals. Islam proposes the following principles of faith:

Ala as one God and Creator of the universe

Muhammad as the prophet who received the commands of Allah

The Qur'an as a sacred text and synthesis of divine messages that preceded it.

While Christian draw its values and teaching from huge number of books written over 1500 year period. Though there are crucial differences between Islam and Christianity but Christians and Islam claims belief in one God from Quran and Bible. Western Civilization is greatly rooted in Christianity where as Islam brings all nations under its Islamic religious law therefore, it can be said that there is huge difference in Islamic and Western Civilization but as we know that despite being an old religion and strong impact of Western Civilization around the world forces Islamic World to accept and adjust to Islamic civilization.

There are some 15 million Muslims in Europe, and the demographics show that they are growing faster than local populations but people in west has to adjust and accept the western culture for example young Muslims raised in the West do not live under 'traditional Islamic culture. Despite several benefits provided to Muslims, they are still trying to adjust to this western society. most Muslims in the west society belongs to the Participant Muslim Category, they are trying to suit social, ethical, and cultural life in west and whose implications are huge on the Muslim world.
