Is there a safety risk to driving while talking on phone hands-free?
Introduction
Vehicle driving safety is a complicated science that rises to an art form as ordinary drivers perceive what engineers communicate to them in the road design, what government policies and education campaigns communicate in laws and in shaping public discourse, and what the culture of the driving public adds to their perception. This area of scientific and communication research ultimately has a profound impact on the well-being of citizens and the communities where they live and travel. Vehicle driving safety is a global concern because an estimated million of people lose their lives in road crashes each year, and countless millions get injured or somehow get into accidents.
Recently, it got declared in the state of Washington by fleeting safety legislation and making use of cell-phone while driving a primary offense. There are concerns if there is a safety risk to using hands-free while driving. This report examines whether there is a safety risk, and possible solutions. Currently, 9 States prohibits all drivers from using cell-phone while driving. However, this may seem like an optimistic move to alleviate fatalities on the roads. Moreover, this study reiterates the fact that the process of listening during a phone conversation is dangerous whether with a hands-free or not (Strayer, 2006, p. 381-391).

Talking on the cell phone and talking is like the driver being under the influence. When a calls come, so even if a driver is using hand-free device while driving still it consists of many actions to initiate a call: searching for the phone in the car, looking through the phone book to look for whom to call, placing the call, connecting the phone to hands-free device and hanging up the call. However, most of the time drivers get unaware about their risky behavior. They let it foregone, that the danger, they are putting themselves and the surrounding environment they are driving. Drivers do not tend to believe that they get occupied even if they are talking on the cell phone via hand free set, but the truth is they get their focus loose and can put themselves in an incident that can affect a lot of people.
