Nuclear weapons are considered as the most dangerous and destructive weapons o ever developed. Nuclear weapon program of Iran is one of the most popular issues in the world especially for United States. Iran is situated in the Middle East, between Pakistan and Iraq. Alaska is slightly smaller Iran, it has population about 66 million people. Iran is one of the important oil producing country exporting over hundred billion barrels of proven reserve being member of OPEC (Roe, 2007). Currently Iran is the centre of debate about nuclear proliferation. Originally since 1950s, the republic of Iran with assistance of United States had nuclear program. Iran's nuclear program since its inception and to this day has passed through several stages. American program "Atoms for Peace" included helping Iran develop nuclear energy is used for peaceful purposes. Under this program, the U.S. had to supply Iran with equipment and nuclear installations, train relevant professionals in exchange for site monitoring for compliance peaceful purposes. Iran had two nuclear reactors, from which one was completed in 2009. However Iran has planned to have seven reactors operational by 2025, which is considered as determined aim, specifically for a nation like Iran which is so rich in fossil fuels. Thus in this paper we are going to analyze and evaluate the situation of 2009 regarding nuclear weapon program of Iran along with the tools and strategies of United States to prevent the nuclear weapon development (Lynch, 2009).
Nuclear non-proliferation treaty is ratified and signed by Iran, which has entitled Iran to peaceful nuclear technology while banning weaponization. Iran continuality denied its intentions of producing weapons since according to them chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons are against their religion and Islamic principles. But various nations were suspicious and believed that Iran will attempt to create weapons in future. Currently for prevention, many nations including France, United Kingdom, Unites States, China, Germany, Russia or EU3 are putting an effort and discouraging Iran's attempt on uranium enrichment to create its own nuclear fuel.
Disadvantages of Iranian Weapons
