The approach to problem solving is a central component of every emerging issue. It allows an individual to focus on certain issue and other related factors that can influence the outcome of decision and issues. Problem's become a source of concern because of their repetitive nature. Approaches to problem solving involve identifying the conditions that lead to problems in order to fix it. The problem-solving approach involves several key elements. Efforts are devoted to identify problems, analyze and implement sustainable solutions on a certain level and to assess the impacts. Proactive interventions are also carried out in order to solve problems, in conjunction with reactive interventions made in response to decisions and consequences of problems. This essay focuses on the problem solving approach used by Thomas Edison.
Discussion
In order to solve inventive problems, inventors had to use trial and error and go through all sorts of options. For a long time sorting options were random. But they gradually showed some tricks: copying natural prototypes, increasing the size and number of concurrent objects, association of different objects in a single system. Accumulating facts, observations, information about the properties of substances and the use of knowledge has increased focus of the searches and eventually has organized the process of solving problems. But me and the tasks themselves, from century to century, they became more complex. In the recent times, in order to find the one right solution, there is a need to do a lot of "empty" trial. It is very rare that people become curious to find I there is any specific process based on which the inventors of innovative products have become successful and which can be adopted by them. Problem solving approach used by Thomas Edison is one of the best examples to understand the method which can be followed to be successful. He was one of the greatest inventors who had a genius mind during the nineteenth and twentieth century. He was the inventor of bulb and was the one who presented an alternate to light in a shape of bulb and the phonograph, which is a little invention but it has modernized and transformed out present world. He is famous for his invention formula: Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% Perspiration.
1093 patents were applied by Edison throughout his life and followed a simple approach. He used to do a lot of experiments at the same time on all the ideas which can be possible. During his every invention, his people or his army based on 1000 researchers used to perform several ideas in 1000 in their every trial in search of finding the right solution without an error. The Edisonian approach towards invention and innovation is based on the discovery of trial and error approach, which can quite convenient phrase but it is also an inaccurate and somewhat misleading explanation of the invention method used by Thomas Edison (Gorman & Carlson, 1990) In several research works by the research, an example of this Edisonian Approach is ...
