Inuits of the Arctic

Introduction

The Inuit are an indigenous people of the Arctic regions of Siberia and of North America (the Alaska, the Northwest Territories, the Nunavut, the Yukon, the Nunavik (Quebec) and Nunatsiavut (Labrador) and that of Greenland. The Inuit Circumpolar Conference Inuit and Inuvialuit include Canada, Kalaallits Greenland, the Inupiat and Yupik of Alaska and the Russian Yupik. However, the Yupik are not Inuit in the sense of offspring Thule. Greenland, Canada and Alaska, there are about 150,000 Inuit.
