Introduction

In this report the analysis of an interview is done. The emergency management of fort Bend County is taken which is in Richmond, Texas. Emergency management of Fort Bend County works under the direction of county judge. There are eleven fulltime members who work in emergency management in which one of them is Alan Spears, deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. Alan Spears was approached for interview on 20th October 2012. Emergency Department mission is to coordinate and give support to State in disaster mitigation, preparedness, and recovery and response activities. They provide safe environment to the residents of Fort Bend County. They try to safe life and property of the residents through their emergency management program (Fort Bend County Government).

In order to fulfill their mission they also do partnership the municipal, emergency management and Governor's division, federal agencies, NGOs and private businessmen of other States. Their main purpose is to provide safety and security to their residents at any cost. Up till now they are accomplishing their mission by developing programs and operational capabilities. They are making their community better in handling the emergencies. The reason behind giving the introduction about the department was necessary. It will help further in analyzing the results and structure of the operations (Fort Bend County Government).

Emergency Management also has volunteer works but as mention above Alan Spears in working as full time member of the department. The questions asked to Mr. Alan are represented in the questionnaire part. Then the analysis the work and how they contribute when disasters occur is also discussed in the analysis part of this report. In the end the summary and recommendations are presented (Fort Bend County Government).

Mission

In this part the answers of MR. Alan are discussed in detail. In the first question how do they accomplish their mission is asked. According to MR. Alan Fort Bad County emergency management's mission is to help people who are the residents of fort Bend County. They help in reducing the loss of life and properties of the citizens.
