Introduction

Tourism sector is an important sector for economy of Ireland. People travel to Ireland for various reason. Ireland is a country of raw and unique beauty and people enjoy visiting Ireland. Ireland is full of ancient and beautiful monument to attract the visitors.

To take the first example, in the Ireland, Failte Ireland and PAB Travel Coach Agency, the sustainable tourism network are groups to provide different tourism proposal the visitor. They offer accommodation, attractions, facilities and services, accessibility, image and price. The objectives are to develop a tourist services and the activities on sustainable tourism development. The priority areas of activity should be to preserve and restore the environment: reduction of waste to a minimum, the involvement of staff, clients and the public in environmental issues. Consideration of economic, social and cultural criteria and environmental protection should be an integral part of all management decisions, including the inclusion of new elements into existing programs. My Objective is to contribute effectively to the development of business travel and increased tourism flows within and outside the country, unifying the efforts of partners to defend their legitimate rights and interests, working closely with government departments responsible for its promotion.

This weekend really made me realize that how much I needed to change in my personal and professional life. It was like a reality check that the outside world is a lot different to what I thought it was going to be. The self-assessments were an eye opener to me in some areas. The scary thing that we attend college and take classes are to prepare us for our future job but I feel like the outside world is going to be a whole new learning experience. I know it is not going to be easy and we are going to be quite creative in applying the knowledge we learned, but it can be quite intimidating at first. When taking the assessments, I realized how I really needed to improve on my attitude towards certain things.

One thing that really surprised me was my multi-tasking skills. This whole time I thought I was so talented to be able to manage 3-4 things at one time but in fact I am really not giving my whole attention and probably making several mistakes while trying to get the important things done. Another area which I want to pay more attention is my listening skills. I feel like I listen when I want to and miss half of the important things in a conversation, class or meetings. I do feel like I have some sort of leadership skills but this was probably the weakest part out of all the assessments I took this weekend. I get very intimidated quickly by someone who might be above me. I need to be able to present myself in a way that shows my leadership skills and make myself comfortable in what I am saying and doing.
