Introduction

The purpose of this study is to expand the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring some relevant facts and figures relating to the demerits of internet to children's development. In this paper, we will examine the people, who are harmed with this problem; we will assess the possible causes of the problem. Once done with assessing the problem, we will than propose solutions to overcome the problem.

Discussion & Analysis

Today, children spend more time watching television, computer or mobile phone at school. New technologies have entered the life of the new generation from early childhood. Thus, the relationship established between them and the media, especially the Internet, is gaining increasing prominence and generated a debate among parents, educators and administrative institutions regarding the safety of navigation for the children. Within this framework, a recently published study entitled "Children on the Web: behavior and safe surfing", where in addition to analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of using the Internet for the development of children, sets out the various measures protection they can count the parents about the potential risks (Jackson, 2006).

Risks and opportunities

The Internet itself is neither good nor bad for children, but depends on the use they make of it.
