Any criminal act dealing with computers and networks known as criminal or internet crime. Moreover, any traditional crime conducted through the Internet includes in cyber crime. For example, telemarketing, internet fraud, hate crimes, identity theft, and credit card account thefts are also considered to be cyber or internet crimes when the activities against the law are committed through the use of Internet.

One can not have a complete definition of the internet or cyber crime. This is a crime where internet is used as a means to further the unlawful activities. Very simply explained the internet is a means to conduct crime. In today's time, this offence does not refer to internet or computers. The data are stored on computers and harassments and threats can be delivered by the software's and the devices.
