Abstract

Tata Motors is an established and well known name of the automobile industry. Over all these years, the company has been successful to make its place among the top five designers and manufacturers of automobile industry. The firm has developed its image as an innovative and quality driven organization. Among various innovations, Tata Nano was a project that helped the company to achieve milestone success in value engineering and automobile innovation. The report described Tata Motor's concept of innovation by shedding light on successful business initiatives. The report conducted comprehensive assessment of innovative Nano project by analyzing structures and processes, which were used to evaluate project feasibility. In addition to this, the report identified and explained methods used by Tata Motors to implement the Nano project. Furthermore, the report investigated Tata Motor's approach to capture value from this project.
