Introduction

There is a tsunami of data that is crashing on the beaches of the civilized world. This tidal wave is not growing volumes of data generated in bits and bytes, entering the unorganized, uncontrollable, incoherent cacophony of foam. It's filled with homeless people. It's filled with sticks and bones, and shells-living and living life. None of it is easy to link to, none of it come with any organizational methodology (Rosenfeld 1998 4).

It washes up on our beaches, we see people in suits and ties skipping along the shoreline, men and women in the fine shirts and blouses dressed for business. We see, graphic designers and Government officials all have their shoes wet and slowly sinking into the trough of the material. Their pants and trousers wet, they go into the water, smiling stupidly-fake smile confidence and control. Tsunami wall data-data collected in more and more speed, more and more the amount stored in memory, number of double, it seems every sunset. On the Ribbon, on the disks on paper by threads of light. Faster, more and more and more. Some of these people return to their desks where stepped back and forth like accordions, which is a lot of paper printouts of this material. They nod Their heads and saying "Yes, it is important, this is good stuff. Sitting next to me, sitting in a neighbouring Office passage, they understand this, so I will smile, I believe I understand it too (Wurman 1996 3).

Unfortunately, the design that perfectly good word, something to do better for most people. The company invents or develops a new part of electronic equipment. When he finished it in the constructor to wrap it in a beautiful package. When the company obtains the engineer who understands how it works to write instructions. He suffers from the disease introduction and so few clients really learn how to use the product. Designer selects the fonts in the brochure and (possibly) puts lid on it. The designer is not involved in the use of, or understanding instructions other than tangential to make it easier to read. The designer is called to make magazine articles look better or asking make the photo look Illustrator arrest or photographer asked to take an interesting view of the author or subject. Nowhere is the subdirectory at any of these designers having fundamental sense of meaning and understanding. That is why I decided to call myself an information architect. I don't mean the bricks and mortar architect. I mean the architect used by architect foreign policy. I mean, as an architect, structural, and orderly principles to make something work, thoughtful decisions or artefact, or idea, or policy that informs, because it is clear. I use the word in its true sense. Most words information contains words indicate why I say things information only when they told me, if they are just data sets.

If I throw 140000 words on the floor and connect those words or two sentences, ...
