ABSTRACT

This research is based on the influence of politics in strategic management while considering the case of US Navy. Strategic management in politics refers to the set of strategic decisions which are performed and planned in order to maximize economic returns from political environment. Strategic approach for management is related to the effective public governance which helps in providing solutions to long term problems which are international as well as due to general consequences. The most significant ethical concern for the research involved participant confidentiality. The study would be based on survey method and for the study the participants are naval officers among whom the questionnaires will be distributed. The questionnaire used in the study would be based on neutral a question which does not provide answer which we are seeking. As the findings of the study demonstrated that the use of organizational politics can lead the organization in to mishap and loop holes because politics is none other than destroying the strategy of any management which is going to improve the management.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

This research is based on the influence of politics in strategic management while considering the case of US Navy. This topic was selected for the strategy as it may assist in knowing about the development of strategy in US military and the role of politics in this regard. Strategy is considered as the product and process. When this process is applied to particular ends and means it helps in achieving specific ends to the meaning. In naval organizations, strategy is defined from the word strategos which is defined as the art of generalship. Strategy is considered as a process which is associated with shifting conditions and in many circumstances in the world which is associated with uncertainty, ambiguity and chance dominates. Since the world is surrounded by complexities therefore, principles, systems and rules are made.
