Characteristics of identification of infectious diseases
The three characteristics which can place the community at risk are infectivity, pathogenicity and toxigenicity. Infectivity is chosen because once the agent has entered the disease in the host, it is most likely that the host may transfer the disease to another hosts through sneezing, hand shake, coughing, talking, sneezing, singing and kissing or other situations. Pathogenicity is chosen because the agent is able to transfer the disease even in an infected host which can cause more danger for the host and one's surroundings.
