Abstract

The following pages will discuss the infant immortality rate of the United States how it has changed since the year 2000. The importance of immortality rate will also be discussed in the following white paper and how it increase and decrease can impact the economy and socio economic environment of the United States.

Introduction

Infant mortality is a concept which deals with statistics of how many infants are born in a day or any given period and how many survives. Infant mortality is not a concept that's only beneficial in medical but is a concept or to be precise a measure through which success of a country and it strength is measured. Historically, the causes for infant mortality were dehydration and diarrhoea that was spread in a given country however, as time passed new reasons came into being that encouraged the infant immortality rate of a country, one of the main reason or cause that came into being are now pneumonia. 

Infant mortality rate is now being used as one of the most basic measure for a country's economy, with high end technological advancement and medical researches the infant mortality rate has been reduced by many countries. However in case of United States, which is one of the most technological advanced countries in the world the infant mortality rate has been deviating gradually, and now it is counted as the worlds 31st country with the most infant mortality rate right now (DeNoon, 2011).

The following paper will discuss on why this infant mortality rate is increasing in the United States while United States has all the technology and more as compared to other countries through which it can control this increase in the infant mortality rate. A comparison chart will also be provided discussed which deals with the history of the United States and how gradually its infant mortality changes since the past years. By the end of the paper, a conclusion will be provided dealing on what this research has achieved and why infant mortality rate is a crucial issue for countries like United States.

Discussion

Infant mortality rate for the world that includes both developed countries and less developed countries has improved during the 21st centuries. During both the world war 1 and world war 2, the infant mortality rate of the world increased by a notable percentage and the most effected country included non other the United States. After the days of World War 2, the infant mortality rate of the United States increased by a devastating rate, as infant mortality rate defines the growth in the population and economy, it was crucial for the government of the United States to improve the infant mortality rate.

With high tech advancements and medical researchers, the United States managed to overcome the problem of infant mortality in the following years, and in the year 2008, United States was ranked as 31st country with the most infant mortality rate at hand.
