Inequality of Muslim Women

Introduction

We know that identities are constructed in opposition to another and our other Muslim-Arab was, until the end of the reconquista and the Muslim-Turkish European integration. In the new world order, the field of politics appears to be directed from the definition, since the nature of the state and the socioeconomic and political systems, to try to settle the best deal with the existing system. This reinforces the tendency to make claims on the basis of identity rather than from a well-defined to specify the economic and social objectives. The formulation of claims on the basis of identity markers leads to more exclusive and more rigid, demarcating the borders between the individual and those which are then defined by the other, which is increasingly seen as being hostile.

Identity politics and religion in the context of Muslim women

While most of the politics of identity are related to ethnicity, in certain circumstances, as distinct ethnic lines are defined along the lines of religion, so that the ethnic and religious mix.

It is clear that the world's citizens are not as prepared to waive small identities in order to define their collective identity. Among other reasons, it is likely that the world is an entity too impersonal to enable individuals to relate to him the same way they relate to a smaller community, which favors a direct personal integration and identification with its members. In terms of relationships with women is a qualitative difference, defined by the presence or absence of Islam, automatically distinguished and separated women from Muslim communities of other women. When referring to "women in the Muslim world, women in this world, spanning many continents, they are not one-dimensional entities defined solely by their gender or their religious identity, nor are the silent victims or passive. On the contrary, as everywhere, women in Muslim communities are "fully-fledged characters, loaded with all the contradictions identified by their class position racial and ethnic, as well as gender.”

The essential components of patriarchy in a Muslim society are no different from those found elsewhere, and the subordination of women is manifested in different levels: in the immediate family structure and kinship, in state construction projects and in terms of international policy development. The subordination is visible, regardless of whether religion influences or not, since policies such as structural adjustment programs, they still have an impact by gender bias. The responses of women to their local realities, as determined by a complex network of influences, as well as their coping strategies in the Muslim world are as different as their realities.
