In-Depth Audience Analysis

The community profile that I retrieved online was the Globe-Miami Community Profile from the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Message's View of the Audience Based on the written Profile

The message viewed the audience as being ready for growth. A review of the profile shows that Miami, Florida needs to be built further. The profile shows several indicators which illustrate that there are opportunities for starting a business and increasing involvement within the community. The chamber of commerce is encouraging growth in Miami. Usergraphics and webographics have been used as tools for defining audience target audience as well as stakeholders. User graphics outline how users use a product, whereas webographics obtains profiles of all the users who visit a certain page on a website; this way the obtained user information helps in creating an audience analysis (Stuart, Sarow, & Stuart, 2007). These definitions clearly show how the chamber of commerce wants to catch the attention of businesses so that they would come and invest in the city's economy. The mission of the chamber of commerce is “to support retention and expansion of existing businesses and to actively market to outside areas the local businesses, attractions and events in southern Gila County.” (Commerce, n.d.). The chamber is a not-for-profit organization formed by business leaders of the area who are collaborating for achieving growth in their businesses. It increases awareness and creates value for social and political collaboration. It is supervised directly by the Arizona Department of Commerce Communications.
