We at the Academie are in receipt of your painting you have called “Impression: Sunrise.” I regret to inform you that this work will not be part of the upcoming exhibition in Paris since the work is an amateurish attempt at painting. Seriously, we were shocked. In many ways Impressionism is like a cross between NeoClassical and Baroque.
