Impact of enrichment programs on Hispanic middle and high school students academically
Abstract
This research is done to analyze the impacts of enrichment programs on Hispanic middle and high school students academically. The need to raise academic achievement levels and gradations rates for Hispanic middle and high school students. Current systemic educational and societal barriers play large roles in this crisis. This research analyzes the impact of the enrichment program Hispanic middle and high school students, their aspirations to attend higher education, and ability to overcome systemic barriers. The outcome pointed out that those Hispanic middle and high school students who had taken part in the enrichment program for minimum 3 years demonstrated a considerably lesser withdraw rate as compare to other students on the whole.

In order to identify the impacts of enrichment programs on Hispanic high and middle school students and different ways through which college admission and enrichment programs arrange Hispanic middle and high school students for further studies and the breaks in plans and reforms of school that encourage after school readiness for all students, this research starts by way of a look at the past and progression of enrichment programs on Hispanic middle and high school students in the course of an assessment of enrichment programs. Subsequent to recognizing the philosophy of application presented in successful programs, the writer discusses different programs with the intention of utilizing the applications and how these programs impacted Hispanic middle and high school students. The research ends through an assessment of the significances for middle and high school academic growth programs and school efforts for reformation.
Definitions and Scope
For the reasons of this research enrichment programs can be described as student focused; that is, these enrichment programs functioned by schools and colleges, state or federal organizations, or nonprofit organizations whose main target is individual school, college, or university students instead of classrooms or entire schools. The enrichment programs which are illustrated in this research present additional educational support or/and enhancement traits to mainly students of high and middle school. At the same time as these activities can be done in an environment of school, or throughout the school timing, their purpose is not to affect existing syllabus of a school or teaching style, but somewhat to enhancement and expand an extracurricular and curricular experience of student in weekdays.
These practices contain, however are not bounded to: direct practices to families and students that give support and information in after school admissions; stimulus behavior that contain advocacy, visit to colleges, and mentoring; academic support and enrichment, that includes study groups, tutoring, training in preparation of college subject matter and entrance test preparation for college; and advising and counseling sessions.
