Introduction

Illegal immigration refers to the entry in a foreign country without any authorized documents or continuing the stay once the validity of these documents is expired. People in this situation, are called "illegal" or "undocumented" aliens. These people may also be located underground without the renewal of their residence permit, within the scope of inadmissibility, or after an application for asylum has been rejected. Illegal immigration of thousands of “unauthorized or unpermitted” people has become an alarming problem in the United States, especially in Texas. It has been observed that illegal immigration relates generally to people of relatively poor countries, who seek a better standard of living in wealthier countries by hook or by crook. These people are so deprived that they chose illegal means to arrive in the foreign lands, once they are denied admission by the authorized agencies. Illegally immigrants often take significant risks, which may put their own lives in jeopardy; with hopes to reach countries where they can live a happier and prosperous life. They do not hesitate to give up everything to make the attempt, often "helped" in this endeavor by smugglers. These people charge an exorbitant price to provide the means to cross natural (sea, mountain, and river) or human (border crossing, wall) barriers in extremely tremulous security conditions.

While still under Mexican rule until the mid-nineteenth century, Texas was a land of promise with its vast untapped territories. At least that's what had been told the stories of the early German settlers who prompted thousands of "compatriots" to come and try their luck. Texas faces a shortfall of $ 27, 000 million in the biennial budget, hence, the state lawmakers seek to propose initiatives against illegal immigration as a way to solve the state's financial challenges. Texas has received a large illegal immigration from other states, which profoundly affected the state. At the time the German states suffered from overpopulation, religious intolerance and authoritarian regimes that drove many people from America. The city of Fredericksburg in Central Texas is a fine example of this adventure. Located next to Austin in the Hill County, a county in the state is named because of its hilly terrain; Fredericksburg was founded in 1848 by a few hundred German. It is agreed that legally immigration may bring in more talents and work force to benefit from; illegal immigration poses a serious threat to any country's economy including that of Texas.

Currently the U.S. is experiencing acute shortages in the country, and the official authorities are forced to fill this shortage of labor force from abroad. According to official projections, for example, it was expected that the territory of the country will induce no more than 8-9 million illegal and legal immigrants in 80 years to come, which is, itself, 50 percent more than in the 70s.
