This research paper aims to prove the idea that Marijuana, should not should be used medically for patients. There shall be present, a few points for the argument of both sides of the fact, and in the end a conclusion shall be derived and proposed keeping the points and the arguments in mind. It shall reflect the author's interpretation of the arguments.

Introduction
This thesis shall cover all the facts that promote the Thesis Statement and arguments justifying the negativity and irony. It will arbitrate each side fairly, state and assess the valid points each side has to offer, and in the end, a conclusion based on the consideration of all the points and the writer's view point as well, shall be presented.
Thesis Statement
“Marijuana should not be a medical option because of the disadvantages and harm it shall do to society.”
Marijuana is a drug which is created by preparing it from the plants. Cannabis is the name of the plant in question. Marijuana has been used for centuries by mankind as means to achieve 'spiritual enlightenment', as desensitizer and for the vulgar use of getting high. Over the years, Worldwide Governments have banned the use of Marijuana. Specifically the U.S Government has classified it under as an illegal substance, and has banned its use and sale. The possession of it results in a seven year sentence and financial penalties. However, with the recent times, Marijuana is being petitioned for legalization for its medicinal and healing powers. This has turned into a huge debate with both sides unrelenting on their point of view. Some State Governments like the Government of Maine has legalized Marijuana and recognized its medical virtues. This paper shall analyze the arguments presented by both the pro and against Marijuana presenters.
Purpose of the Study
This research is being conducted in order to try to answer once and all to the dilemma whether or not, should Marijuana be used medically. It shall be a descriptive study and all the evidence gathered shall be second hand, from renowned publications and journals.
Literature Review
Marijuana is a substance which is created by treating the Cannabis plant. In researches conducted by the United Nation in the year 2004, it was calculated that approximately 4% of the world population consumed (smokes, ingested, injected, or inhaled) marijuana yearly and at least 0.6% of them, that is (22.5 million) use it daily (National Institute of Database on Drug, 2010). In spite of being strictly banned and carrying huge penalties for the possession and use of the drug, the amount of people who still associate with the drug is staggering.
